This Privacy Policy describes how Boyce Armory ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Boyce Armory mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:

Account details: email address, display name, password (stored as a hash by Firebase Authentication), optional nickname.

Profile photo: optional, uploaded to Firebase Storage.

Support communications: the content of any support tickets you submit.
Information collected automatically:

Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language preference.

Push notification token: a unique token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can deliver alerts to your device.

Usage data: screens you visit, alerts you interact with, when you opened the app, captured via Firebase Analytics.

Crash logs: if the app crashes, we collect diagnostic data via Firebase Crashlytics to fix the issue.
What we do NOT collect:

Your brokerage account credentials.

Your actual trade history at any broker.

Your bank account or credit card information (handled by Apple/Google through their app stores).

2. How We Use Information

4. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share information only as follows:

With service providers (above) who help us operate the Service, bound by contracts to protect your data.

For legal reasons if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of users.

In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer to the acquiring party, subject to this Privacy Policy.
5. Your Choices and Rights
Access and update: View and edit your profile information in the app (Profile screen).
Delete your account: In the app, go to Profile → Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and removes:

Your account record.

Your profile photo from Firebase Storage.

Your push notification tokens.

Your engagement history with alerts.
Some records may be retained in aggregated/anonymized form for legitimate business purposes (e.g., scanner performance analytics) and as required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).
Push notifications: Disable push notifications at any time in your device's settings (Settings → Notifications → Boyce Armory) or in the app's notification settings.
Analytics opt-out: You can disable Firebase Analytics through your device's settings or by contacting us.
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of your information, and to opt out of any "sale" of personal information (we do not sell personal information). Contact us at support@boycearmory.com to exercise these rights.
EU/UK residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Our legal basis for processing your data is (a) contract performance to deliver the Service you signed up for, (b) legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service, and (c) your consent for non-essential processing like analytics. 6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized analytics and aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely. Some records (e.g., transaction logs) may be retained longer to meet legal and accounting obligations.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage at rest (managed by Firebase and Render), and access controls. No system is 100% secure, however. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@boycearmory.com and we will delete it.
9. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
